As the world defines it, we unequivocally repudiate racism. However, we hold that God’s Word gives us a better vision than that of the world. As per our Statement of Faith, we hold that God’s Word affirms that all of mankind is but one race. Therefore, we certainly do not discriminate on the basis of a criteria we do not acknowledge as valid by the light of God’s Word. Further, Powell Christian School does not discriminate against any individual on the basis of color, ethnicity, ancestry, sex, age, pregnancy or childbirth, or veteran status.

            Regarding the families who entrust us with the education of their children, we also do not discriminate against any of them based on religion or creed. That said, we are a Christian School and vigorously hold to our Statement of Faith which all adult employees and volunteers must affirm their agreement with. Further, all families are provided with a copy of our Statement of Faith before they enroll, so they know the ground we teach from. As a Christian School, we exist to glorify and serve Christ. Therefore, we cannot condone what Christ condemns, and we do not cede our right to maintain our purpose and principles, as outlined in Article III of our Bylaw, inviolate.
